The cabin we were allocated was substandard. An accessible cabin that had not been updated in a long while. We were thankfully moved as there was a cancellation. This cabin was ok but several grades down from the one we had originally paid for.

Starting to slip behind other Cruise ships
Been cruising with P&O for 10 years. Staff and service is excellent as ever. Although you can see staff are now being over worked. Also standards are slipping in dress code throughout the ships. Starting to become more of a Butlins holiday camp with dress code not enforced in areas where they should be and stated so. Also certain ships are looking dated in cabins. Oceana for one. Great classy ship but not a lot to do on it at sea ( just quiz's ) Food choice on Oceana not as good on this ship in Buffett area's as there is on the other ships on our cruise. Also ran out of things in the day and a couple of breakfast times. Just remembered P&0 . . You can only cut back on thing's so far before things look like the wheels look like there starting to fall off.

Fabulous ship, food and service. Rubbish entertainment!
The service by all staff was excellent. The food was also excellent and couldn’t be improved upon. However, this particular cruise was badly let down by the entertainment! We have enjoyed P & O Cruises very much in the past, however to be honest the Entertainment was not up to the standard that we expect! Normally there is a very nice mix of entertainment but the standards and choices we’re not there! In fact the Entertainment let down the whole cruise for us which meant we did not book another one for the future whilst onboard. They appear to be skimping very much so on this extremely important subject, and we had numerous other passengers saying the same! Watch out P & O because the Cruises get more expensive and the Entertainment leaves a lot to be desired!!!

Unbelievable service considering where we were and how much we'd paid
Reception staff in particular Poohnan was absolutely useless and made our first day on board totally stressful and unacceptable to say the least. I've cruised twice previously with P & O and this was by far the worst! It was my daughter's 18th birthday and if the captain and co-ordinator hadn't pulled out all of the stops, we all agreed we'd never cruise again!

I am sure you can appreciate, this is certainly not our intention and I sincerely regret that the enjoyment of your cruise was effected to such an extent. I am however pleased to know that your daughter was able to enjoy celebrating her 18th Birthday.

disapointing
did not make port. bit pointless on a Christmas cruise to brugge. they did not do any extra entertainment on the ship so everywhere was packed. they just seemed interested in making money out of there captive audience. a force 9 Gale was predictedso they could have cancelled the sailing.

Our First Cruise
Cruise ship was Ok, staff very helpfull, cabin with balcony very good also. The food was excellent, we dined at 18.30, which was good, but going to a show after was not so good as most of the seats were taken, which spoilt a so called relaxing evening. Large ships do move, and the sea had only a mild swell as described by the captain. The entertainment was average, people on board who were regular cruisers, were saying cutbacks were evident overall. For us too many days at sea, I was getting bored on the way home.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Pleased to hear that you did enjoy your 'Maiden Cruise', however disappointed to hear that certain elements you felt were not as to your expectations as you described above.


We do understand that entertainment can be very subjective and won't always appeal to everyone; however I'm sorry that we may not of met your expectations on this occasion. We do normally try and lay on 2 shows per evening to enable all passengers the opportunity to obtain a seat and watch in comfort.


It is true to say that changes and cost savings have been made in certain areas over the years. As a commercial organization, we not only have an obligation to our customers, but also to our shareholders. A lot of changes have been made as a result of passenger demand, along with the ever increasing growing business of todays cruising.


Your feedback is, of course, important to us to assist in evaluating our product and making any improvements were deemed necessary.


We do hope we can welcome you back on board again in the near future.

Almost happy cruiser
Staff were very friendly service was very good but was disappointed with my room we were told we had a free upgrade but our view from the balcony was looking at the lifeboats the room we originally booked was in a better position on the ship so feel it wasn't an upgrade very disappointed

So pleased that you had a lovely cruise, however disappointed to hear that you were unhappy with your cabin upgrade. I can see from your booking that you were opted in for the automatic upgrade, which means that once opted in, you are accepting to be moved into any cabin of the grade in which you have confirmed in or higher. If an upgrade was to become available, you will be automatically moved into that new cabin and cannot be changed. So this could involve a complete deck change and also the position on the ship, but would always be as a minimum the same grade or higher. I can understand your frustration, however we would always suggest opting out of the automatic upgrade if you are happy with the location you have booked or do have preferences on your location as this cannot be guaranteed.


Despite of the above, I do hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back on board again in the very near future.
